$763,687.50 Dental Malpractice Verdict

On January 17, 2025, a Davis County jury returned a verdict of $763,687.50 in favor of Peck Baxter client who brought medical malpractice claims against a corporation that operates orthodontic clinics across Utah and a general dentist who ran one of the clinics. The negligent treatment defendants provided our client resulted in extreme gum recession, bone loss in her jaw, and debilitating sensitivity throughout our client’s mouth. Our client was represented by Nathan Duncan at trial. The verdict appears to be the highest dental malpractice verdict in Utah history.
